Maybe they should change “Murphy’s Law” to Pollett’s Law"….in future when something bad happens that just shouldn’t happen…..when I am tempted to say well that’s Murphy’s Law….I will refrain and instead say….That’s Pollett’s Law!
That was a bad beat….How did you sleep that night….No really, how did you get to sleep that night?……and more importantly…how did you get out of bed the next morning? Most would have remained in the fetal position for a month after that……and they think farmers are resilient for coming back after Bushfires, Drought etc……..Punters leave farmers in the dirt(no pun intended) for being resilient and fighting against the odds(pun intended)
